This lens is an excellent wide-angle lens, but it can create a bit of perspective distortion with subjects of various distances from the camera. See attached photos. Both photos are taken from same street view position. The two posts in the foreground are about 20 feet from the camera. Yes, the right post is leaning crooked, it's not a lens aberration. The 24mm photo at right shows the accurate street view perspective as seen by an observer. The photo at left was taken with the TT Artisans 10mm F2 rectilinear lens which means it optically corrects to make the photograph's lines square instead of looking like a “fisheye”. It is that correction which distorts the distance making the posts appear further away than they actually are. The TT Artisans 10mm F2 should do fine with subjects within the same plane, but if shooting “too deep” with the subjects spread to different depths of the focus plane, one can expect the type of distortion shown here.

i have 8mm fuji but it feels a bit too wide. this is perfect. night flares are some what irregular so you might want to test that...It is hard to explain but fuji lenses make people faces look pudgy, this one is more like nikon lenses and slims faces.can't go wrong with this one.

My original review of this lens was negative because I didn't know how to make it work on a Canon R7. Now that I know, I'm very impressed... nice field of view, well-marked rings for apurture and focus, sturdy and light weight; the YouTube reviews for this lens have got it right. Not perfect images but very satisfactory.
