Characterized by its sleek and versatile design, the Viltrox AF 23mm f/1.4 XF is a 35mm-equivalent wide-angle prime lens designed for APS-C-format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras. The flexible wide-angle focal length pairs with the bright f/1.4 maximum aperture to suit working in a variety of lighting conditions and also enables enhanced control over depth of field for isolating subject matter using selective focus techniques. The optical design incorporates a pair of extra-low dispersion elements and a pair of high refractive index elements, which combine to suppress a variety of aberrations and produce high sharpness, clarity, and color accuracy. An HD Nano multi-layer coating has also been applied to reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast in bright and backlit conditions.

Overall I've loved the use of this lens over the last couple years. 23mm Is an interesting focal length that can get a large variety of shots and definitely reinforces an older style of photography. Only thing is there is a tiny bit of vignetting at f1.4 around the far edges. Barely noticeable though and easily removed in post.
Very pleased with this purchase. Very sharp, fast AF, with good bokeh from the f1.4. There is some purple fringing, but that’s easy to remove. I really like the ability to get close, and still have sharp images. I had the Fuji 23 f2, and it was VERY soft at MFD.
This lens works excellently with my Fuji X-T3. Image quality is great. I can create beautiful portrait with its large 1.4 aperture. Autofocus also great, and works excellently with the Fuji face/eye AF.I also appreciate the compactness and lightweight, which make it very easy to carry around.
I have used and owned almost every Fuji lens and this lens isn’t far behind! The value for money with this lens is insane!! Auto focus is just as fast as a native lens. 1.4 aperture is very nice also! Good job Viltrox!!
