TTartisan 23mm F1.8 Autofocus APS-C Prime Lens

This isn't the best glass you'll ever see but it isn't horrible either. TTArtisan makes affordable, decent lens solutions that don't really disappoint.I should note, there is a distinct lack of sharpness. So don't think this would be ideal for any detail work. I actually love it for quick shoots where I'm looking to capture movement in a cinematic way.

This lens takes some amazingly sharp shots with nice soft bokeh wide open. For an lens that is extremely affordable, it is not without its limitations. For instance, it does not have an aperture ring, so you're relegated to having to rely on your camera's dials to do the work. Smaller cameras like the X-M5 are limited in this capability so it's not as convenient. Also, it is not weather sealed, so be careful of where and how you use it outdoors. With an APS-C sensor, 23mm becomes 35mm, which is one of the most common focal lengths for story telling and street photography.The images are very sharp and subjects have good separation with the background. There is some vignetting, but not terrible and tends to fit well if you're going for nostalgia.Overall, a great lens for the price!

impressive little lens that performs on par with my fujinon 23mmtested on my X-T5 and the images I was getting was on par with lenses 5 times it's price!image quality was honestly impressive and the lens is fast a tracking it's subject. Didn't have any issues with focusing.this lens is small enough that it is a great option as a travel lens or street photography lens.Very light and easy to shoot with. highly recommended!

This is a wonderful walkaround lens. Is this lens perfect? No. Is it going to compete with much more expensive lenses? It depends on its usage but for the most part no. However, this lens gives those of us on a budget wonderful tool to go out and photograph without breaking the bank. Lens comes with lens caps and hood.35mm is one of my favorite focal length for street photography and this lens comes close at 34.5mm factoring the crop factor. It is not weathersealed but it is made of metal and feels nice in the hand with great manual focus ring. It has a 52mm filter thread and does not have aperture ring. When mounted to XT-3, it balances well and AF performance, while not super fast, works quite well. It has a USB connection on the rear lens cap for future firmware updates and the redesigned lens hood allows it to be mounted on the lens all the time while providing access to lens cap.It has vignetting issues in the corners but overall sharpness and contrast is pretty good. Vignetting doesn't really go away but I think it gives this lens a bit character. For street photography or even low light shooting, it's not a big deal. Corners could be better but compared to the old 50mm 1.8 lenses old, this lens isn't that bad. For portraits and candid photos, this lens works very well. I love that TTArtisan makes lenses that are affordable, fun and has some character. For those looking for fast, fun lens on a budget, this lens highly recommended.

I bought this lens to use with my Fujifilm X-Pro3 and it is an excellent lens for Street Photography. Being it is equal to 35mm in full frame it is perfect for Street Photography and can even be used for some landscapes as well. For the price the image quality is very good and TTArtisans have really come a long way in making quality glass.
