A good lens to use for photos mimicking a vintage lens effect a fun to use for special characteristics moments.

This lens is a super value, with plenty of bang for the buck. All metal construction, metal mounting plate, silky smooth focus ring, F1.4!! And for a bargain price. I am an old school shutterbug. I learned to develop my own rolls of B&W 35mm film and make my own prints back in 1962 when I was seven years old in my dad's darkroom. Started out with Rolleiflex and have used all sorts of gear down through the years. Manual focus doesn't scare me, and it shouldn't scare you. Here are a few images I shot today - all handheld - while spending some time with the family at the shore in central Chile where we work as missionaries. I shot all these images with the TT Artisans 17mm Manual Focus F1.7 lens, mounted on my trusted Fujifilm XT1. This lens is sharp and renders beautiful colors. It's a great walk-around street photography lens and mounted on a small body like the XT1 doesn't intimidate strangers like my D700 with my 80-200 F2.8 would. Of course there are better lenses out there. If you think comparing a $100 lens to an $800 lens is fair, than what can I say? But, for the money, this one is not only affordable, but useful, and can produce results that will please 99.9 percent of the folks. Get one. You won't regret it.

I use this lens in a Fuji X-E3 camera. In order to be able to shoot, you have to go to the Menu / SET UP / USER SETTING / SHOOT WITHOUT LENS and turn it ON. Otherwise, the camera won't shoot because the lenns doesn't have any communication with it.Great value.

Really nice lens for my Canon M50. About a 28mm equivalent fov. Sharp in the center, not bad in the corners, stop it down to f5.6 and it will be fine. No autofocus, no lens data or automatic anything, just manual focus, manual aperture, use a pen and pad if you want exif data or settings. You will have to set camera to shoot without lens mode (in the menu). If this sounds like fun, you will love this lens. If not Sigma makes a nice prime 16mm f1.4 in the M mount. Just 3x the $, but has AF and aperture controls and exif data.Did I mention that the lens is all metal and the aperture has very nice clicks (soft but noticable, can be counted if you don't want to look) and the focus ring is very smooth? This is a good walk around lens if you take your time. And it's small, easy to take along.
